Look at all that saved time, he's just saved himself like 2 minutes worth of time because of that 3rd party software. alt tab, selected 3rd ship, this sucks, i hate this, find 5th ship and tell it to fire. Alt tab, go to 3rd ship, tell it to fire. Alt tab, go to 2nd ship, tell it to fire. alt tab, selected 2nd ship that already targetted, try to find the 5th ship, ok found it, tell it to target. Now if he were to do this manually, individually, without the software, he'd have to: Select the ship to target. The player uses isboxer while telling his ship to fire at targeted ship, telling the other 4 ships to fire at the targeted ship. Now the automation involved in multiboxing is sending each of those 5 ships the commands automatically, instead of manually.Īutomatically: The player uses isboxer to select the ship to target, the other 4 ships target that ship. So essentially he's saving himself 4 hours, what would take Ordinary Game players a total of 5. Total manhours spent by 2rude4u Crew: 5 man hours. Total manhours spent by CaptDildong performing action: 1 hour They control their 5 accounts seperately, individually for 1 hour peforming said action. MjrSnozberry, Yakmaster3000, tubularTed, FranksNBeanz, and MongoWantFootball are 5 dudes playing their singular accounts choosing to fly their rohks, focusing down and killing NPC battleships. He spends 1 hour controlling 5 accounts farming.

I didn't write the tool, I don't play EQ2, and I have no idea.Considering that their own EULA states people aren't allowed to use automation software to help them acquire resources faster than ordinary play, immediately stating afterwards that multi-boxing is allowed is a direct contradiction of their own EULA.…except for the lack of automation and that it doesn't allow you to acquire resources faster than ordinary play.Īny other 5 accounts is incredibly vague so I'll go ahead and define a scenario for you.ĬaptDildong has 5 accounts and he uses ISboxer to control 5 rohks to focus down and kill NPC battleships. Why you decided to quote my general reply to JackBurton boggles my mind but if you quoted my text to ask me the question directly, then my answer is.

im just unsure how to get it to work with eq2. I was wondering if theres a way to make this work with eq2 im new to autit and this would be perfect for me. That's why my first post in this thread was cautious, but at the same time AHK can do lots of bad things and if you just follow the rules of the game you're playing all should be well. It'd be great if someone would come along with a fancy product and light a fire under Lax's ass to get the next generation of software out. If you Export in ISBoxer and it complains about account names, then this is definitely contributing to the problem. The point of the last statement of my prior post was because this thread could easily go offtrack. If you click to 4 and they start following 3, then it sounds like you have a couple characters in the wrong slot (theyre in a specific order in ISBoxer, and thats how it knows who to assist or follow). If that was the case this would have been empty long ago. >_> We don't just ban people here because they disagree with something or make a snide comment.

Point being, with less features (complexity) there is less need for support, and none will expect the same levels of support for a free tool that isboxer gives. My guess is that most multiboxers only use a fraction of the isboxer features, and in order for an open source tool to be successful I believe that covering the most used features would be enough. Besides, isboxer is incredibly powerful and the only thing it can't do is doing your dishes. If a new open source tool becomes widely used, the community itself will offer more than enough support (e.g. I don't think sitting entire days on forums and on irc is a real requirement for a product to be successful. Macro support -> I have no idea how many use a build in macro system vs the ingame ones Possibly network support -> not sure how many people would need this Keymap / Hotkey configuration -> iirc the keyclone way could be enough for most people the hotkeynet one), but accurate mousebroadcasting is imo far more important Instant PiP swap and accurate mouse broadcasting -> I think a 1s PiP swap delay is acceptable for WoW (i.e. But, I think Svpernova said it best in a different thread about new multiboxing software:
